Richard WestonRichard Lee Weston, 84, of Springfield, MO passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born on Thursday, February 2, 1933 in Fort Scott, KS.Richard married Lois Jean Jones on August 21, 1954 in Pittsburg, KS and to this union three children were born. Along with his wife, he co-owned Tax & Financial Advisers, LLC. Richard was an Elder with the First Cumberland Church, past president and the Treasurer for eight of the nine years he served on the NATP board of directors, a 32 degree Master Mason at the Fellowship Lodge 345 in Joplin, MO, a member of the OES Republic, MO Chapter 370, a member of the Missouri MSA, an Emeritus board member of the Springfield, MO Salvation Army and an active member in numerous youth organizations.He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Tammy Weston.He is survived by his wife, two children Lynda Misegadis (husband Melvin) of Stephenville, TX and John Weston (wife Cheryl) of Battlefield, MO, one son-in-law Craig Seibel of Springfield, MO, three grandchildren Heather Weston of Springfield, MO, Travis Weston (wife Ashley) of Cassville, MO and Matthew Weston of Battlefield, MO and a host of clients, friends and family.A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:30-7pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804. A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 4216 S. Charleston Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with memorial donations to their building fund. Burial will take place at the Rivermonte Memorial Gardens following cremation.
