Reinholdt, Richard Theodore "Dick"MONONA/STEVENS POINT-Richard Theodore "Dick" Reinholdt, 85, of Monona, Wis., passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at The Villa at Middleton Village. He was born on March 19, 1932, in Stevens Point, Wis., to Richard T. and Helen (Kilroe) Reinholdt. Richard graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, in 1950, and attended the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing his law degree in 1956. He married Sylvia Abrahamson of Tigerton, Wis., on June 22, 1957, in Stevens Point. Richard's career in the title and abstract industry spanned over 40 years in Madison, with most of those years devoted to his own business, Title Research Corporation. He was an avid supporter of the City of Monona and the Monona Grove School District, for whom he volunteered countless hours. He was a member of the Monona City Council from 1982-1992 and served on numerous committees and task forces. In the 1970's and 1980's, he was instrumental in forming the Monona Youth Hockey Association and served on the board of the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association. He especially enjoyed playing in the Monona (Over 40) softball league. In his later years, he and Sylvia enjoyed many long weekends at the family cottage in central Wisconsin. Richard is survived by his wife Sylvia; children, Richard (Jo Ann) of Galesville, Wis., John (Shiera) of Bradley, Calif., Ann (Brent) Campbell of Anoka, Minn., James (Kimberly) of San Clemente, Calif., and Mary (Doug) Anderson of Amherst Junction, Wis.; grandchildren, Michael and Richard Reinholdt, Amber and Samantha Reinholdt, Emily, Sarah, and Peter Campbell, Severina Anderson, Sarah (Daniel) Schultz Storm and Elizabeth (Jason) Schultz Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Toren and Liam Anderson and Lux, Willa and Nova Storm. He is further survived by his brother, William (Marilyn) of La Crosse, Wis.; and brother-in-law, Harvin (Mary Ann) Abrahamson of Wauwatosa, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, W. Scott Schultz of Stevens Point, Wis; and brother and sister-in-law, Lennert and Lillian Abrahamson of Tigerton, Wis. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017. A private family burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
