Richard Raul Torres, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was born on March 25, 1944 in Yuma. Richard was in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a hard working man. Richard is survived by his girlfriend, Karin McAntosh; sons, Richard Torres of Nevada; daughters, Lydia Daven of Nevada, Gabriela Zamora of California, and Ana Olivia Torres of Phoenix, Arizona; mother, Saturina Alverez; brothers, Victor (Lupe) Torres of California, Henry (Pita) Torres, and Diego (Mary) Torres; sister, Rita (Manuel) Munoz; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Torres and step-mother, Maria Torres; sister, Virginia Flores. A visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Raymond Villa, Ernesto Flores, Richard Torres, Kennith Kim, Rolando Chavez, and Keith Milks.
