Richard J. Serrano, 56, native and lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on December 1, 2014 in Salinas, He was born on August 31, 1958. Prior to Richard's illness, he was employed at Simonsen Laboratories in Gilroy. His favorite pastimes included golfing, storytelling, and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Denee Serrano of Salinas, son, Richard A. Serrano of Chandler, AZ, parents, Antonio and Mary Garcia, sisters Susan (Frank) De La Torres, Yvonne (Mike) Motchkavitz, and Victoria Garcia, brother Robert Serrano, along with many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
