Richard James Selby a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and friend to all, transistioned from this life on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at the age of 75. Richard was born January 25, 1944 in Jackson, Michigan to Robert Selby and Lily Mae Simmons(sisson) who both preceded him to death. He was also preceded in death by his loving Wife of 44 years, Ocie Selby, and one brother William Selby.

Richard retired from Simpson Industries and Eaton Corportation. He loved spending time with his family, and never missed a sporting event for is children or grandchildren . He was an avid golfer, loved to barbeque, travel adn take casino trips. Richard was a member of Lily Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories, four children DuaneSelby, Doreen Selby, Darin Selby, all of Jackson Michigan and Regina Mays of Atlanta Georgia  eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brothers; Robert Selby of Livonia Michigan, Allen Selby of douglasville georgia, Nick Selby of Jackson Michigan, Gregory Selby of Jackson Michigan, Rhoda Johnson, of bay city Michigan, Rodney Rogers of Jackson Michigan, Melody Akins of Jackson Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, counsins, and friends.
