Richard (Rick) Frank KingDes MoinesRichard (Rick) Frank King of Des Moines passed away August 11, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.Rick was born on April 28, 1950 to parents Robert and Marjorie King. He was blessed with six sisters, Barbara Fagen of FL, Rebecca Tomczak (Deceased), Brooke (Earl) Cochran, Dawn (David) Bowman, Shawn (Steve) Nelson and Sarah Walls, all of Illinois. Survivors include his wife Allona of Iowa, son's Adam and Erik and daughter Rhiannon, all of Iowa. He had 6 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Rick loved his family and friends and would always make time to help whenever he could. Known by his friends as "Jed", he played the banjo and guitar, teaching it to his nephew and entertaining all on family vacations.He was a tireless worker and devoted to his faith and his Kingdom Hall brothers and sisters.He will be sadly missed by all.The Memorial service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 420 Watrous Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50315 on August 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial can be sent in Ricks name to the above address.
