Richard E. "Dick" GallowayMARION: Richard E. "Dick" Galloway, age 67, of Marion passed away Wednesday evening January 27th 2016 at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1948 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Edgar E. "Gene" and Edith (Ireland) Galloway.Dick was a 1966 graduate of Zanesville High School and a United States Navy veteran. He worked sales at McDaniels Motors and Kennedy Ford and retired from Honda of America. Dick was a member of the Marion Bowling Hall of Fame. He had numerous 300 games and 800 series. Dick bowled in professional tournaments and was the United States Navy Champion. He was a die-hard Cincinnati Reds fan, loved fishing, and enjoyed coaching his sons' sports teams in football, baseball, basketball, and bowling. In his retirement, he loved babysitting his grandchildren multiple days a week and bowling in numerous leagues.Dick is survived by his mother, Edith (Ireland) Galloway of Zanesville; four children: son, Chad (Kerri) Galloway, and granddaughters, Karlee, Caitlyn, and Karaline; son, Shawn (Kassi) Galloway of Marion, and grandson Tucker; son, Grant (Martiqua) Galloway of Marion, and grandson Maddox; daughter, Angel Galloway of Zanesville; brother, Steve (Kathi) Galloway of Zanesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his father, Edgar E. "Gene" Galloway.Visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at the John M. Boler Activity Center, 590 Forest Lawn Dr., Marion, Ohio where services will follow at 7 PM. Burial with Military honors will take place 1:00pm Monday, February 1, 2016 at the St. Paul Cemetery in Sonora, Ohio.
