Richard Dick Murray (Hippie), 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed Wednesday, March 07, 2018. Richard was born June 18, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Richard graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. He married Valerie Murray in 1976, and they lived together in Indianapolis. Richard worked at General Motors until he retired in 1999. He also volunteered at the Indy Reads in 2003-2008 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Richard was great at conversation and could talk with anyone. He loved his wife very much, a true standup guy.

Richard is survived by 2 children: Shelley Jones and Jennifer Jones. He also is survived by 3 grandchildren, David Dawson, Ashley Hoyle and Tiarra Edwards, also by 4 great-grandchildren.
