Walczak, Richard A. "Whitey"Richard A. "Whitey" Walczak, age 89, of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, November 19, 2016, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, with his family at his side.Richard was born on February 3, 1927, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Anton and Anna (Ertman) Walczak. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School and Washington High School in Two Rivers. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1947. On January 17, 1948, he married Marion L. Gauthier at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2013. Richard was employed at Hamilton's for 42 years, retiring in 1991 as installation supervisor. He was a founding member of the Two Rivers Pigeon Racing Club, where served as president and was also an avid bingo player.Survivors include his three children: Richard and Linda Walczak of Sturgeon Bay, Diane and Mike Fischer of Two Rivers and Steven and Bonnie Walczak of Green Bay; nine grandchildren: Lisa (Doug) Thain, Andrew (Brooke) Walczak, Aaron (Stephanie) Fischer, Jordan (Megan) Fischer, Matthew, Michael, Mason, Molly and Miles Walczak; nine great grandchildren: William, Zachary & Emily Thain and Aaliyah, Colin, Dylan, Nolan & Abigail Walczak, Ethan & Evan Fischer. He is further survived by a sister-in-law: Alice Gauthier of Two Rivers; along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by four sisters: Margaret, Vera, Dorothy and Katherine.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Graveside military honors will be accorded by members of American Legion Post #165 and V.F.W. Post #1248 of Two Rivers.The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
