Rich HolbrookWest Des MoinesRichard Lyle Holbrook, 58, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 30, 2017 at Iles Westover Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Glendale Cemetery. Richard was born on February 2, 1959 in Plainsfield, New Jersey. In 1980 he was united in marriage to Kristina Lansaw and welcomed her children with loving arms. The family made their home in the Des Moines area. He was a passionately devoted employee of Wells Fargo as a data base analyst.Family was very important to Richard and he always made time for his friends. He loved playing golf, working out daily, bowling, and had a passion for politics.Richard was loved and will be missed by all. He was a blessing to the many lives he touched.Richard is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kris; his children, Mike Holbrook, Amanda (Vic) Minella, Alexis (Lucas) Burrington; step son, Dale Gillingham; his mother and step father, Lorraine and Bill Lawrence; sisters, Karen (Larry) Austin and Laurie Holbrook; brothers, Jeff (Anita) Holbrook and Billy (Holly) Lawrence; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Holbrook and his brother, Brad Holbrook.Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Heart Foundation, Des Moines Chapter.
