This obituary is administered by:
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Reed Randall Ripplinger, passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones on Jan. 20, 2015. Reed was born on Aug. 13, 1936, to Lawrence and Lorraine Ripplinger of Logan, Utah. Reed grew up in North Logan. In his youth, he delivered newspapers and was an avid baseball player. It was in North Logan that he met his high school sweetheart, Sarah Ann. He served a mission to the Eastern States Mission for the LDS Church. Upon returning from his mission, he married Sarah Ann in the Logan Temple. He graduated from Utah State University and spent many years teaching school. He loved teaching and was beloved by many. He also loved farming and worked very late into the night after teaching school all day. He was a man who quietly served others. He spent many years serving in scouting, the Lions Club and various church positions. He loved being a dad and a grandpa and enjoyed being with his family. In his senior years he enjoyed serving as a temple officiator and serving an LDS mission with his wife in Cambodia. He is the father of seven children: Cary (Diana), Diane (Alan), Karen (Monte), Michelle, Anita (John), David (Katie), Kevin (Jennifer). He had 29 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lorraine, siblings Conrad, Paul, Luana, Rex and Juanita. He is survived by his brother, Hollis.Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Richmond Stake Center, 135 W. Main St. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, (all viewings will be at the church). Interment will follow at Richmond City Cemetery.
