Raymond Roger Gillip, 77, passed on August 9, 2020. He was born to Raymond Taft Gillip and Roberta Kimsey Gillip in Saint Joseph, Missouri on July 18, 1943.
In 1990, he married Nenita Clamana Gillip. Together they lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they raised their only child, Raymond Roger Gillip II and Yorkie, Tiger. He is also survived by one grandchild, Lincoln Alexander Gillip.
At 18 years old, Ray enlisted himself in the U.S. Navy. Two days after his enlistment, he received his Army draft notice for the Veitnam War. He then went on to serve his country as Nuclear Weapons Specialist in the United States Navy for 30 years. In 1992, Ray retired from the U.S. Navy in San Fransisco, California as a Lieutenant Commander.
In 1998, Ray and his partner founded Training Resources Limited in San Diego, California. Training Resources Limited provided superior maritime training for civilian and military mariners. The company was incorporated in 2001 as Training Resources Limited, a Nevada corporation (\"TRL\"). Throughout the years, TRL grew to become one of the largest maritime training centers in the nation.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, USC Trojans, coins, M&M collectiables, and more than anything, his family were all things he had a great passion and love for.
Ray had a heart of gold. He did everything he could for his family and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
