MELENDEZ, Ramon., 75, of Naguabo,PR., and formerly of Tampa, died

Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Fl., following a period of declining health.

Born October 23,1944, in Tampa, he was the son of Ventura Melendez. and Nancy Barrido Melendez, who predeceased him. Mr. Melendez was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam war and Bay of pigs invasion . He later became a paramedic in Queens, NY. He is survived by is wife Maria Claudio Melendez and 4 sons Edward strez, Raymond Melendez jr, Johnny Melendez and Walter Melendez. At his request, Mr. Melendez was cremated and a private family service will take place at a later date. Ray Williams  Funeral Home of Tampa, Fl., his wife Maria was in charge of arrangements.
