Ray TateRay Anthony Tate, 47, of Peoria passed away on January 26, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 17, 1969 in Independence, LA. to Ray Carter and Elaine (Tate) Robinson. Ray enjoyed playing basketball, but most of all loved shooting pool. He attended Richwoods High School and Illinois Central College. Ray worked at Labors of Local 165 for many years. He leaves to embrace his precious memories to his mother: Elaine Tate of Peoria, three daughters: LaSharay Tate of Rock Island Amorah Tate of Kansas, MO., and Aerial Ivory of Peoria one sister: Montina Tate of Peoria and one God-sister Darletta (Jeffery) Morris of Atlanta,Georgia, and two grandchildren; Jamarion and Kamiyah Tate, , one niece Deborah Tate ,two nephews; Torris and DeMarco Tate, , a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his step-father Fred Robinson, grandparents Lovie and Oscar Thompson.Services will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at City of Refuge Christian Center at 11:00a.m, with visitation one hour prior.
