KENDALLVILLE — Randy L. Randol, 56, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away peacefully and comfortably on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at his home surrounded by family in LaGrange, Indiana. He was born on May 15, 1960, in Shelby, Michigan, to Dick Lee and Loretta Fay (Baxter) Randol. He married Michelle Crawford on October 2, 1992, in LaGrange County, Indiana. She has preceded him in death on May 20, 2014. Randy was diagnosed with a very rare cancer that affected his heart in November of 2014. At that time, he was given six to 12 months to live out his life. He managed to beat that time frame by a year because he lived by his own motto of "Don't count the days, make the days count." He enjoyed making others laugh with his storytelling and one-of-a-kind pranks. He never lost his sense of humor, no matter what the situation was. When Randy would walk into a room, you knew you could always count on him to give you a really good laugh. He also enjoyed going on long motorcycle rides. He enjoyed sitting outside and watching his hummingbirds come and go every year. Randy was very well known for taking on random projects. You never knew what he was going to come up with next. He was a man of mischief at any given moment, yet still liked by those who came in to his life. Randy made an impact on everyone's life and he will be missed very much. He is survived by his three daughters, Cassandra Ann Crawford of Kendallville, Heather Lynnette Crawford of Kendallville, and Tasha Nicole Crawford of LaGrange; two sons, Ryan Scott Randol of Auburn and Ricky Lee Randol of LaGrange; and six grandchildren. Randy is also survived by his mother, Loretta Fay (Baxter) Randol of LaGrange, Indiana; seven brothers, Frank, Doyle, Lee Jay, Chad, Colby, Chuck and Doug Randol; two sisters, Tanya Ringler and Becky Stoudt; as well as many nieces and nephews. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Dick Randol; his grandparents, Benjamin and Ethel Baxter and Oakle Gaskill; and a nephew, Travis Randol. The family has honored his request for no formal services. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center. A celebration of Randy's life will take place at a later date for his family.
