Ramon "Monie" Herrera Jr., 44, of Salinas, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on April 21, 1971 in Salinas, CA.

His greatest achievements are his four beautiful children. He was known by many and loved by more…anyone who knew Monie could vouch for his undeniable loyalty to his friends and family. He was bright and bold and a party wasn’t a party unless he was there. He is survived by his Mother Elizabeth Herrera, Grandmother Esther G. Orozco, and Brother Ralph Natividad Herrera. His children Ramon Herrera the Third, Elizabeth Herrera, Angel Herrera, and Adrian Herrera. Preceded in death by his Father Ramon Herrera, and Grandparents Raphael and Guadalupe Herrera.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God took you home. If tears could build a stairway, and heartaches make a lane, we’d walk our way to heaven, and bring you back again. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill.
