Rachelle Violet Hilliker, age 19, of East Tawas died at her home on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. She was born on May 30, 1997 in West Branch. Rachelle was attending the Alternative Educational Academy through the Michigan Works! program and was set to graduate in October. She was employed by Burger King in Tawas City where she absolutely loved her job. Rachelle had many hobbies and enjoyed working on crafts. She loved all animals and especially her dog, Sandy. In her younger years she was involved in the 4-H program which started her love for animals. Rachelle was very active at the Good News Ministries of Whittemore, she helped with the food bank and the Vacation Bible School. Rachelle is survived by her parents, Tina (James) Dean and Michael (Jessica) Hilliker; her twin sister, Rebecca Hilliker and sister, Antoinette Owens; her grandparents, Gary and Pam Locht, Cindy and Dave Basner and Violet Hilliker; and her great grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Toms. Rachelle was preceded in death by her sister, Alexis Hilliker. A memorial service will be held Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at Good New Ministries in Whittemore.
