TUSCARORA - Rachel Darden Hill, 79, of Tuscarora, died October 3, 2013 at home from acute leukemia. She was born on March 14, 1934 in Lenoir County. She is survived by her husband James Aubrey Hill; two sons, James G. Hill and wife Janet of New Bern, and Darrell Scott Hill of Burgaw; one daughter, Lisa Hill DelGuercio and husband Joseph of La Grange; one sister, Effie Rae Harper of Kinston; one great-grandson, Cameron McSorley of New Bern; two nieces, Sherry Harper of Kinston and Betty Lou Sanderson of Albertson. Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
