MONSKY, RUTH A. Ruth A. Monsky, age 92, of Milford, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Milford Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1924 in Carbondal, PA to the late Andrew and Mary Stash. Before retiring, she was employed as a bookkeeper for the Mayflower Truck Stop. An active member of the community, in her youth she enjoyed bowling in the St. Mary’s League and later was involved in the Wednesday Club along with her friends, Ann Mac Sorley, Pat Olensky and Arline Fitch. She was loved and will be missed by her family, friends, co-workers and the staff of Milford Health Care. A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her daughter Raeanne Hohl and her husband Jeff of Toledo, Ohio, son, Randall Monsky and his companion Roseanne of Milford, grandsons, Tim Hohl and Andrew Monsky, sisters Catherine Majka and Eleanor Clark both of Endicott, NY, along with 36 nieces and nephews and her special friends at Milford Health Care; Eleanor Young, Jean Budah, Helen O’Keefe and roommate Carmela.The family would like to thank her niece, Joan Veres and the staff of Milford Health Care, especially Tina, Margaret and Danielle for all they have done for her. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Monsky and daughter, Robin Monsky. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11am in St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford. Interment will be private.
