Preston Boyd passed on October 12, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. His funeral service will be held this Friday at Epworth United Methodist Chapel on Oct. 19, 2018.

Preston Gerard Boyd was a man of honor, integrity, and mostly a man of God. He was born on February 22, 1967, in Baltimore, MD to Lorraine Boyd and Preston Boyd.

Preston is survived by his wife, Diedre Boyd; and his three brothers, Derick Boyd Sr., Andre Boyd, and Devin Boyd. He also survived his two sons, Preston Boyd III and Kobe Boyd. 

Preston Boyd grew up in Baltimore City and lived with his mother, father, and three brothers. The environment was tough and Preston knew he had to get out. He went on to graduate from Carver Vo Tech High school and attended Coppin State where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Management Science. From there he received his Masters from The Catholic University of America. Preston then went on to have a long and prosperous career with the Peace Corps.

In his free time, Preston was a dedicated assistant pastor at his local church and attended multiple mission trips to teach the word of God to people over the world. Preston will be missed by his family, friends, and those whose lives he impacted. We know he is where he wants to be.
