Phyllis J. Verbick1930 - 2014 Phyllis J. Verbick, 83, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side. Phyllis was born on Dec. 31, 1930, in Hammond, Ind., to Walter and Sophia (Rich) Lease and she was educated in the schools in Hammond. She married Michael Verbick on Feb. 14, 1950, in Indiana. Phyllis was a devoted wife and mother, and she had many interests in life, but the one thing she will be remembered for is her knitting skills. Her expertise and attention to detail made each one of her creations a work of art. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Verbick and two sisters, Marilyn Moore and Barbara Trotman.Survivors include her children, Michael Tim Verbick Jr., Barbara York, Chris Verbick, Kathy Verbick and Walter Beaver Verbick all of Kenosha; five grandchildren; two great grandsons as well as other family and friends.
