Philip Drew Buckman, 74, Saint Joe, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at his farm in Saint Joe. He was born on May 7, 1942 in Marion County. He was a lifelong farmer, a devout Catholic, and a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church.He was preceded in death by: his parents, Adrian and Louise Wathen Buckman; two brothers, Larry and Randall Buckman; and two great-grandchildren, Aryonna McRay and Jaxson Tucker.Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Rosetta Reynolds Buckman; one son, Eddie Buckman (Mindy) of Saint Joe; two daughters, Lisa Buckman of Saint Joe and Tammy Kinard (Ed) of Danville; nine grandchildren, Jessica McRay, Justin Brady, Johnathan Williamson, Blake Buckman, Adrienne Tucker, Candace Tucker, Lauren Townley, Allison Buckman, and Caroline Buckman; three great-grandchildren, Dominique Buckman, James Buckman and Chevy McRay; and one sister, Kathleen Buckman of Lebanon. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon with burial in Saint Joe Cemetery. Rev. David W. Naylor will preside.Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Saint Joe Community Center, c/o Frank Reynolds, 300 Clear Creek Road, Raywick, KY 40060Pallbearers are Johnathan Williamson, Justin Brady, Blake Buckman, Larry Thomas, Timmy Miles, and Stewart Richerson.His grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
