Peter N.V. Olivas died on Nov. 4, 2013. He was born on Jan. 31, 1935. He was preceeded in death by his Father Paul, Mother Ernestine, brothers Toby and Manuel, and nephew Jerry Wayne Taylor. He was born in Santa Fe and grew up in Los Alamos. He graduated from Los Alamos High School. He loved football and was the co-captain of the football team. He served in the United States Navy from1955-1961 when he was honorably discharged. He went to college at Purdue University and UNM. He received a bachelors degree from UNM in Electrical Engineering. During the cold war he worked on undisclosed projects at EG & G and the University of California, LANL. He enjoyed billiards, golf, fishing, hunting, and loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Loretta, his three sons, Nick, David, and Danny Olivas, his daughter Sheila, and his two sisters Mary Taylor and, Rose Lujan and their families. There was a private memorial and he will be privately buried at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
