Weigel, Peter L.Peter L. Weigel ,79, Stratford, died on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville, with Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam officiating. Burial will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery at a later date and time for family. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Peter was born on April 13, 1937 in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County, to Peter and Rose (Andres) Weigel. He married Sara L. Warner on June 16, 1979 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. He had been employed at a cheese factory and then in road construction. Pete enjoyed gardening, making wood, making maple syrup, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.Pete is survived by his wife Sara and children, Kari (Gary) Bohman and Kurt Warner, all of Stratford, Kim (Ronald) Daly of Marshfield and Kelly (Steven) Strnad of Waterloo, WI. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Rosemarie (Robert) Kaas of Marshfield. He is predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Katherine Madison, a son, Kevin Warner, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated in his name to the or to in Marshfield.
