Fleck, Peter "Pete"Peter L. Fleck, age 75 of De Pere, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at home, after being a real trooper through his battle with cancer. He was born on June 3, 1942 to the late Howard and Christine (Lary) Fleck in Green Bay. On August 1, 1966, he married Mary Zelten at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. Pete was a member of Local #3 Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers for 40+ years. He was the Pancake Specialist and as a 50-year member of North East Lions, serving in many positions but especially, making pancakes. Also making pancakes as a member of Conchella Valley Lions club and Indian Wells RV Park. He was known as "Pancake Pete". He was a longtime member of GBYC, always helping out where needed, especially in the kitchen, and as the clean-up specialist. He enjoyed making jewelry, polishing stones, golfing, boating and traveling by RV.He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary, brothers and sisters; Mike (Gin) Fleck, Pudge (Kay) Daanen and Dorothy (Daanen) Schwantz, Zelten brothers in law; Cletus (Nancy), Kenn (Beth), Pat (Deb), Steve (Tina), Bill (Michelle) and Joe, Zelten sisters in law; Jane (Drew) Ama, Donna (Bill) Leanna and Joanne (Ken) Ver Hoven. Pete is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.Preceding Pete in death are his parents, his step mother, Kay (Daanen) Fleck, mother and father in law, John and Dorothy Zelten, brothers, Ken and Bill Fleck and brothers in law; Dick, Tom, Mike and Glenn Zelten. Family and friends may gather from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere. A prayer service will be held at 6:00pm. Visitation will continue at 9:30am until 10:15am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, De Pere with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am with Rev.
