YORK, Maine - Peter D. Marcuri, 75, of Fernald Avenue, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, after a long illness.He was born on March 23, 1941 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the son of the late Alphonse and Lora (Talpey) Marcuri. He graduated from York High School in 1956, and he went on to graduate from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1962 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was the owner and operator of A. Marcuri & Son Inc., an excavation company based in York Harbor, Maine. He enjoyed photography, tending to his garden, hot rods, his Lionel Train collection, and spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Diane J. (Krueger) Marcuri; a daughter Kelly J. Ott and husband Daniel of Nashville, Tenn.; a son Peter Michael Marcuri and wife Jamie of York, Maine; his step-mother Virginia F. Marcuri of Wells, Maine; a step-sister Jacqueline Nowell of Washington, DC; two grandchildren, Madelyne Ott and Cameron Marcuri. SERVICES: Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Thursday, February 2, in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Friday, February 3, in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine. Burial will follow at the First Parish Cemetery.
