Pearline M. Moutry was born on January 21, 1938, in Canton, Mississippi. She was the 6th of 11 children, born to the union of McKinley and Mary Mitchell.

She attended and received her formal education from Cameron Street High School where she graduated on May 24th, 1957. Pearline moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin from Canton, Mississippi shortly thereafter.

Pearline accepted Christ into her life at the tender age of 12 and it was this love for Christ that led her to become a member of Bethel Baptist Church in 1964. It was here that she met and married her soulmate, Willie Moutry Jr. on August 23, 1966. To this union, six children were born and Pearline was also a loving step-mother to four additional children. She was an avid lover of music, loved to play solitaire, she also loved spending time with her family and friends, and for those of you that didn't know, she loved to re-upholster furniture and give it her unique flair. Most of all, she had the biggest heart and taught her children the importance of giving back. 

Pearline is survived by five children: David Moutry, Felicia Moutry, Danielle (Jarrid) Moutry-Calmese, Kevin (Nicole) Moutry, and Steffanie  (Tyren) Lucas; her loving step-children; David Anderson, Deborah Moutry and Wanda Faye (Alvin) Neale; Two brothers: Albert Douglas Mitchell, Bobby (Annie) Mitchell, one sister: Josephine (Willie) Sims. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she adored; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; McKinley and Mary Mitchell, her husband, Willie Moutry Jr.; loving son, John Evans Jr. ; and loving step-daughter, Evangeline Denise Moutry; grandson, Mateo Moutry; five brothers: M.C. Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, Ray (Patricia)Mitchell, Alfonso Mitchell and Charlie (Ruby) Mitchell; two sisters: Shirley (Don) Mitchell and Magnolia (Clifton)Fears.
