Payton Gregory Small, aged 23, passed away on Tuesday, 22 November, 2016 in Montgomery, Texas. Payton was born on 12 September 1993 in Crockett, Texas. He lived in Conroe and Montgomery for the majority of his life. Payton loved skateboarding and music.

Payton was the second son of Thomas Small and Julie Stephens, both from Crockett, Texas.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carolyn Stephens and Greg Stephens, Payton leaves behind his parents, his brothers Thomas Jr and Austin, and paternal grandparents Anne Toney and Wayne Small. He is survived by numerous extended family members including Stacy Small (step-mother) and family, Karen Bruening (great-aunt) and family, and Sandy Horton (great-aunt) and family, William Wayne Small (uncle) and family, Laura Smith (aunt) and family, Sarah Bergman (aunt), Leslie Stephens (aunt), and Ashtyn Small (niece).
