Pauline Blanche ChristensenLansing   On January 2nd, 2017, Pauline Blanche Christensen (Whited) left us to be with her Savior- with a smile in her heart and surrounded by family. In her 94 years of life, Pauline had a great impact on so many she encountered. She was well-known as a loving, compassionate, and nurturing woman who saw the good in everyone.   Pauline was born on December 17th, 1922, in Stewartsville, Minnesota. She married the love of her life (Darwin Christensen) on December 2nd, 1939. They lived for many years in the Lansing area, and also created many memories at Drummond Island, where they owned a second home. She enjoyed much of her life as a loving wife of Darwin, and mother of 4 girls. Their incredible love story began at a young age, and stood strong for 65+ years. Their home was a safe haven for many hearts that passed through their door. Pauline was always available for a warm hug, a kind smile, and something to fill their stomachs!   Her last 5 years were spent living at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility where she made several friends and was a joy to care for. Her loving personality brought her close to the hearts of those who surrounded her.   Pauline was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Darwin, on May 25th, 2003, as well as her daughter, Susanne Cudney (Christensen), 4 years ago and her only sister, Audrey Pritchard. She is survived by her daughters: Linda Browning (Harold), Sandra Entricate (Terry), Cathy Patterson, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren!   A celebration of Pauline's life will be held on Saturday, January 14th at the Lansing Chapel of the Palmer, Bush, & Jensen Funeral Home (520 E. Mt. Hope Ave. Lansing, MI 48910). There will be a visitation from 1:00-3:00pm, with a service being held at 3:00pm with Pastor Doug Bradshaw officiating.
