Pitroski, Paul P.Paul P. Pitroski, 97, Town of Pensaukee, passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on Jun 6, 1920 in Sampson, WI to the late John and Anna Piotrowski and grew up on the family farm. Paul met his wife, Adeline Zimanek, at a wedding reception in Abrams where they danced together as they would do through the rest of their 71 years together. They were married on November 26, 1942 and lived in Milwaukee for a few years, then moved back to her family farm in 1947 where they built a life together with their six children.Dad will be remembered for the enjoyment he brought to all he met with his joke telling and the love and encouragement he gave to his wife and children. Paul was a loving and committed husband and father which was evident in all his words and deeds. Paul worked side by side with his wife and children on the family farm and also worked for Green Bay Packaging for 28 years. Because of a childhood injury, Paul could not join the armed services, but was a proud member of the U.S. CCC's Mountain, WI Division, beginning in 1939. Survivors include one son Ronald Pitroski, Oconto; five daughters Cecilia Raymond, Milwaukee, Alice Kuhr, Suamico; Kathleen Kuhr, California; Anne (Jerry) Dix, Oconto, Cynde Pitroski (Tim DeHut), Oconto; eight grandchildren, Tim Raymond, Allison (Mike) LeRoy, Paula and George Kuhr, Emily (Anthony) Grulkowski, John DeHut, Jim and Jared Pitroski; three great-granddaughters Ellen (Ryan) Kermeen, Claire (Corey) Tobias and Julia LeRoy; many nieces and nephews and Paul's beloved dog, PeeWee and his two cats, Blackie and Molly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; three sons-in-law, Charles Raymond, Frederick Kuhr and George Kuhr; five brothers, four sisters and all his in-laws. Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto, from 4-7 pm Friday, Sept. 15, 2017. The Parish Wake Service will be at 7 pm. Friday. Visitation will continue at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Stiles, on Saturday Sept.16, 2017 from 9 until the time of the funeral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday at the church with Father Joel Sember officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at the Stiles/Abrams Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim DeHut, John DeHut, Tim Raymond, George Kuhr, Michael LeRoy and Anthony Grulkowski.
