Workun, Paul A.Paul A. Workun, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital.He was born on March 7, 1929, in Chicago, a son of Paul and Katherine Potocki Workun.Paul served with the United States Army during World War II.On August 20, 2004, he married Winifred "Win" J. Johns at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.Paul was an engineer at Giddings and Lewis for over 25 years. He enjoyed playing the violin and being a foster grandparent at Chegwin School.He is survived by his wife, Win; a daughter, Hilkka (Luis) Urrea of Mexico; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, of United States and Mexico; a stepson, Gary (Jean) Merrill; three step-grandchildren; a sister, Sophie Wright of Chicago; a nephew, Arthur (Carol) Wright of Downers Grove, Illinois; and a niece, Carolyn (Richard) Swallow of South Carolina.He was preceded in death by his parents;VISITATION: The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 -2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
