Patrick F. MastersonYORKPatrick F. Masterson, 85, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 28, 2016. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. (Cusack) Masterson.Viewings will be held on Thursday, June 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., recitation of the rosary at 7:45 p.m., and on Friday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at the church with Father Jonathan Sawicki as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., East York, is assisting the family.Mr. Masterson was born on Feb. 17, 1931,in Chicago, IL, a son of the late James and Lucille (Bowman) Masterson. He was retired from Topflight Corp. He was a member of St. Joseph Church for over 50 years, a longtime member of Whistle Pig Fishing Club, and was a lifelong White Sox fan.Pat is survived by his children, Linda Martens and her husband C.J. of Rochester, MI, Kathleen Klingaman and her husband Gary of Dover, Margaret Taylor-Brown and her husband Kip of York, Eileen Rider and her husband Michael of Elizabethtown, James Masterson and his wife Grace of Pittsburgh, Sharon Shelley and her husband Mark of York, and Patrick M. Masterson of York; grandchildren, Matt, Lisa, Mackenzie, Jacob, Sarah, Patrick, Ian, Katie, Abby, Rachel, Mark, Sydney, Grace, Jack, Michael and Nick. He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Masterson, Mary (Masterson) Kmetty and Lucille (Masterson) Hopp. He is survived by his cousin, David Bowman, whom his parents loved and reared as their own when David's mother died during his birth.His passions were his faith, his family, his work, fly fishing, the pro-life movement and Special Olympics.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Able Services, 3100 N.
