Patricia Ruth NationsKnoxville, TNPatricia Ruth Nations, age 80, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Parkwest Medical Center after a courageous six year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on June 26, 1936 in New York City and graduated from the Saint Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1957, New York City. Pat was also a Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics for over ten years.She is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years, Charles Nations; mother, Gertrude Cattanach; and grandmother, Gertrude Schmidt. Pat is survived by her children, Scott Nations, Nancy Nations, and Paul Nations; daughter-in-law, Eva Nations; grandchildren, Ashley DeBenedetti, Jennifer Nations, Katherine Nations, Anna Nations, Charlie Nations and Tyler Nations; great-grandchildren, Isabella DeBenedetti and Guiliana DeBenedetti; cousin, Robert Schmidt and beloved dogs Chuie and Jazz. A special thank you to her dear friend and "Angel", Kathy Jessing-Boyd for all her help over the years. Pat had many life-long friends with whom she was very loyal, and she never met a stranger. She loved to spend time with her family and honored the holidays and family traditions. Throughout her life, she always expressed a positive and hopeful attitude and strove to make those around her better. She loved socializing, dancing, reading, watching movies, playing bridge, going to the beach, travel and adventure. Wherever Pat went, no matter how she felt, in the best of times or in the depths of chemotherapy and cancer, inside and out, she was always BEAUTIFUL. We will always love you.A Memorial Service for Pat will be held at All Saint's Catholic Church, 620 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, on February 19, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. It was Pat's wish that people wear bright colors.
