CRAWFORD, Patricia JoyceNovember 14, 1931 – October 11, 2017It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Joyce Crawford on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at the age of 85 years.Pat was born on November 14, 1931 to Cletus Sheehan and Alexena Locosse in Whitelaw, AB. Pat married Murray "Tubby" Crawford in 1951. They settled in Grand Centre, AB and raised three children. Pat ran the Green Gables Confectionary, Tubby operated school buses and worked for the military base driving heavy equipment. They later had a small farm where Pat raised her geese, pigs, cows and tended to her garden. Pat held a position at Sears for many years and then became bookkeeper for Reid's Welding. Tubby passed away in 1975.Years passed and Pat met John Morrison. They later moved to Edmonton and John worked as a Commissionaire and Pat retired. They both loved square dancing, playing cards and spending time at the cabin. Their house became the hub for grandchildren and family. John passed away in 2000.Pat was gifted with the talents of sewing, baking and gardening. She took her time to teach adult kids and little kids some of those skills. The cookie jar and the freezer was always full and she loved to sit around the kitchen table with her family and grandkids. She often told them stories and taught so many things to all of us. She spoiled her cats, Teardrop and Rascle, who loved to sit snuggled with her. Pat grew up with nine siblings, with only four remaining. She made sure that family was always connected through family reunions and gatherings. How she loved to plan those events.Pat leaves behind her daughter, Elaine and her son, Warner (Claire). Her son, Milton (Margaret) passed away May, 2017. Pat leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We are all so grateful to have had such a wonderful woman in our lives. A Celebration of Life for Pat will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at "Pioneer House Club 50" 10102-100 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you bring your memories to share with us.Photos, memories and condolences may be shared through www.parkmemorial.com.
