Patricia Ann Roshto ScottFuneral services for Patricia Ann Scott of Pollock will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville with Reverend Mark Breland and Reverend Jesse Garrison officiating. Interment will be in the Scott family plot in Pollock Cemetery. Visitation with the family has been set for Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville.Patricia Ann Scott, age 58, of Pollock, Louisiana entered eternal rest at 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Rome, Georgia. She was born on June 30, 1959 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Carroll and Sylvia Duncan Roshto. Mrs. Scott was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Pineville, Louisiana, and also attended Esler Baptist Church. She retired after serving 35 years dedicated to the education of children, having been employed by Special School District and then later by the Grant Parish School System at Pollock Elementary. She dearly loved children and they loved her equally in return. She was a 1977 graduate of Tioga High School and attended Louisiana College in education.Mrs. Scott was a partner in the ownership of Regency House of Alexandria Senior Living Center. She served for many years as board member of the Grant Dogwood Festival Association and as a board member of S.H.A.P.E. (Society of the History, Arts, Preservation and Education) of Pollock. Mrs. Scott was a founding member of the Mardi Gras Krewe of Theaur, and reigned as Queen of Theaur III during the 1998 season. She was a member of the Grant Arts Council, United Daughters of Confederate Veterans, and the Magnolia Ballroom Dance Club. Mrs. Scott married Jerome Fred Scott on June 24, 1983. Patricia and Jerome were dedicated to each other and spent their happily married life of 34 years traveling the U. S. and the world, enjoying the arts, researching genealogy and history, collecting artwork, coins and antiques, enjoying and entertaining family and friends, and enjoying life to the fullest being "best friends". Mrs. Scott worked along side her husband to make Pollock a better place during his many terms as Mayor of the town. In 2007, they purchased and made their home in Oction House, the largest and olds remaining residence in Pollock. Patricia and Jerome lovingly restored all three floors of the 21 room, 8,000 square feet Greek Revival mansion into the grand and opulent Victorian style of its former self. They have one son, Christopher Scott and one grandson, Dylan Wade Scott of Pollock. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was well-known for her true Christian and caring character, and was generous and helpful to all around her. Patricia was known for always thinking of others before herself, and always preferring to give to others than to receive. She was a humble person, always with a smiling face and a good word, and will be truly missed.She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Carroll RoshtoShe leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her husband, Mayor Jerome Scott of Pollock; son, Christopher Scott, daughter-in-law, Randy N. Wade; parents, Carroll and Sylvia Duncan Roshto of Pineville; grandson, Dylan Wade Scott; sister, Kimberly Roshto Strange and husband Rob of Forest Hill. LA; brother-in-law, Stephen Scott and wife Sheila of Pollock, and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tanner Strange, Blane Strange, Jason Roshto, Benjamin Roshto, Tyler Roshto and Dylan Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Dezendorf, Dr. Bruce Craig, Stephen Scott, James W.
