Pat FischerVentura, CAPhoebe Patricia ("Pat") Fischer passed away on March 6, 2017 in Irvine, California from complications due to a stroke. Pat was born on May 9, 1934 in Hempstead, Long Island, New York, and is the daughter of Felix A. Blum and Marjorie ("Madge") Blum (nee McCarthy). Pat's siblings include her older brother Felix ("Phil") Blum and her fraternal twin sister Janet Clapham. Pat married Paul Fischer on April 14, 1956. Paul and Pat were married for nearly 56 years when Paul passed away on February 21, 2012. They started their married life living in Culver City and then moved to Oxnard, California in 1958. They remained in Oxnard for the next 30 years while raising their 5 children. In 1988 they moved to Grass Valley, California and Pat remained in that area until she moved back to Ventura in 2001.Pat is survived by her children Michael, Craig (daughter-in-law Pamela), Mark, Kirsten (son-in-law Edward Varner), Kevin, and her beloved grandchildren Stephanie, Tiffany, Brittany, Christopher, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Eddie, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a joy to be around and we will all miss her very much. A vigil will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 7:00p.m. at the Camino del Sol Funeral Home ( http://www.caminodelsolfuneralhome.com/) at 200 North "C" Street in Oxnard. A funeral Mass for Pat will be celebrated at 10:00a.m., Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Santa Clara Roman Catholic Church, 323 South "E" Street, Oxnard.
