Otis was born to Abraham, and Ruth, August 14, 1942, the second oldest of four. He was baptized at Tristone Baspist Chruch in Cleveland, OH and had an active childhood and adolescent particpating in various sports such as basketabll, track, and boxing. 

Otis graduated from East High. He married Ruby Harris, his high school sweetheart in 1967. Their union would result in the birth of five sons of their own, Donald, DeWanye, Donavon, Delbert, and Dennis.

Otis went on to work in the field of industiral manufacturing. He spent time working at Warner & Swasey Co. and later going to work at Ford Motor Company until he retired in 2010.

Otis was a devoted Husband and father who was determined to make a better life for his family. He was honest and hardworking and always made sure to set a good example for his family. He never believed in shortcuts and was always a helping hand to friends and his community.

Otis is preceded in death by his parents (Abraham and Ruth), wife Ruby, brother Araham Jr.(AJ), sister Denise, and son Delbert.

He is survived by his sons, Donald, DeWayne,Donavon, and Dennis; brother Leon; seven grandchildren (Cortez, Cheyenne, Deja, Dorothy, Donavon Jr, Shatavia, and Leslie.); and a host of great granchildren, nieces, nephews and additonal family memebers.
