LOGAN - Oscar Monroe McCann passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, and returned to his loved ones in Heaven. He was born on July 4, 1928, in Providence, Utah. He was married to Rosa Pecollo McCann, who went back to her Heavenly Father in 2005. He has four children: Dianne M. Meldrum, Richard O. McCann, David J. McCann and Steven R. McCann. He has many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Oscar was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He went on a Spanish American mission to the Central States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, when he was 19 years old, for 2 1/2 years. Upon returning he was enlisted in the Navy when the Korean War was going on. He lived a good life and accomplished a lot during those years. We love you very much Dad. We will miss you greatly. A graveside service will be held at the Preston, Idaho Cemetery on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. There will not be a viewing. If anyone would like to visit with the family prior to the service, you may arrive 15 minutes prior to the service, at the cemetery. Flowers are welcome and may be delivered to Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah. However, donations are extremely welcomed in lieu of flowers and may be sent to the family at 128 Wapiti Loop, Hyrum, Utah, 84319.
