Orville Paul "OP" LamartiniereFuneral services for Orville Paul Lamartiniere will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, in the chapel of Kramer of Fifth Ward, with Rev. Keith LaMartiniere officiating. Interment will follow in LaMartiniere Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and will resume on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the Kramer Chapel. Orville Paul "OP" LaMartiniere, 67, resident of Woodville, MS, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016. OP was born on January 7, 1949, in Fifth Ward to Herman and Nelda Lamartiniere, he was one of eleven children. He retired from the Louisiana State Penitentiary. OP was an avid hunter, and fisherman; he especially loved sharing his love of the outdoors with his grandchildren. OP never turned anyone away, he always went out of his way to help anyone he could. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Susan Williber. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Susan Vead Lamartiniere; their children, Joseph Lamartiniere (Stephanie), Orville "DoDo" Lamartiniere, Jr. (Leslie), and Michael Lamartiniere( Lisa); his grandchildren, Molli, Wyatt, Palmer, Peyton, and Elise; his step grandchildren, Seth Prudhomme (Melanie) and Lindsey Reese (Nick); and his step great-grandchildren, Gregory, Brayden, Ian and Kinsley. OP also leaves behind his siblings, Martha Bringol (Larry), Arlie John Lamartiniere (Colleen), Jason Lamartiniere (Naomi), Hernell Broussard (Randy), Janell Lacombe (Pete), Judy Brouillette (DR), Landfried Lamartiniere (Brenda), Alcide Lamartiniere (Marian) and Jeff Lamartiniere (Rebecca); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Landfried Lamartiniere, Alcide Lamartiniere, Jeff Lamartiniere, Jamie Felder, Darrel Vannoy, Jimmy Cruze, Adam Oliveaux, and Zack Whetstone.
