Marsh, Orman D.Orman D. Marsh, 91, passed away on February 3, 2017, in Ridgecrest, CA. after a short illness. The funeral service was held on February 18 at the Ridgecrest, CA Church of the Nazarene. Graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL on February 22 at 1 PM with Pastor Blake Mohling of Capitol City Church of the Nazarene officiating. Military honors will be supplied by the Maxwell AFB Honor Guard.He was born on September 18, 1925 in New Britain, Conn. to Willis and Clara Marsh. He served in the US Army Air Force pilot training program from 1944 to 1945. In November 1945 he married Kathryn Bedsole of Montgomery, AL. After attending Trevecca Nazarene College, he joined the USAF from 1948 to 1953 and then returned to college at Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts before moving to Satellite Beach, Florida two years later. He spent the next 12 years working at Cape Canaveral for Douglas Aircraft Co. helping to launch Thor missiles and communication satellites. In 1968, they moved to Montgomery. AL and he worked at Maxwell AFB as an electronic technician. He also joined the USAF Reserves. After retirement, they moved to Ridgecrest, CA.Orman Marsh is survived by his daughter, Judy; son-in-law, Steve Smith, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathryn, son David, sister Grace, and parents Willis and Clara Marsh.He loved the Lord, his family, his church, and his country. His life was a life well spent and devoted to the Lord his Savior.
