STEINITZ, Olga (née Zolotarchuk)It is with profound sadness that we announce Olga Steinitz passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 with family by her side. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday. Olga was born on a small farm near Vonda, SK on July 21, 1925. She eventually moved to Saskatoon, and met Jim shortly thereafter in 1950. They were married in 1951, and Olga stayed home to raise their two children, Ken and Linda. Olga was a warm and caring wife and mother. She was a great cook and had numerous hobbies, including sewing, crocheting and knitting, cross-stitching, paper toile, oil painting and gardening. Olga enjoyed golfing in the ladies league at Holiday Park Golf Course; and she was active in the ladies Riversdale Kiwanis. Together, Olga and Jim formed the Rambling Rovers Trailer Club. They loved to travel to various places including the Caribbean, Hawaii and the United States. Olga was cherished and adored by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim, in 2014; as well as sisters, Rose and Stella. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Ken (Carole) Steinitz and their daughter, Jocelyn; daughter, Linda (Jim) Smith and their daughter, Nichole (Kyle) Berezowski, and son (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Elsa and Rowen Berezowski; as well as her brothers, Ed (Joan) Zolotarchuk, William (Mabel) Zolotarchuk, Glen (Sylvia) Zolotarchuk and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society (c/o 1405 Faulkner Cres., Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R5). A private family service will be held at a later date.
