Norman Keith BakerSt. MarysNorman 'Keith' Baker , age 76, died on May 24, 2017 at his home in St. Marys, Iowa. Keith was born on Jan. 17, 1941 to Elmer and Dorothy (Peers) Baker. He graduated from Dallas Center , Iowa in 1958. Keith worked at Hy-line in Johnston, Iowa, farmed and ended his career at John Deere in Ankeny; retiring in 2003. Keith's greatest joy in life was his soul mate Myrna Young and their many fishing trips to Canada. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and loving mate Myrna (2003). He is survived by a daughter Connie (Duke) Major of Ankeny. A sister, Joan (Bruce) Bever of Des Moines; brothers, Chuck (Jan) Baker of Seattle, WA. and Dean (Lynn) Baker of Sierra Vista, AZ. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as his dear friends Henri and Denise Giroux of Canada. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held August 17, 2017 at 2:30pm at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, IA. A visitation will begin at 1pm prior to the service.
