Norman J. Bakall, Age 81, of Chicago passed away peacefully on November 16, 2016. He was born on January 4, 1935 to Max and Jeanette Bakall. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Elissa; Loving father of Brad (Sophie) and Karen (Michael) Barondes of Greenville, NC. Proud grandfather of Samantha, Matthew, Daniel, Jacob and Nathan. Norman attended Senn High School and Roosevelt University majoring in History. He completed a Masters in History from the University of Chicago. Norman taught history at Taft High School beginning in 1960. His career at Taft spanned 34 years becoming an Assistant Principal and School Programmer. Norman had a lifetime love of golf, tennis, bridge, travel, reading and music. He was known by all as a consummate storyteller. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2:00PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL.
