Ellis, Norma Lee 84, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on February 14, 2016. Norma is survived by her son, Barry Ellis (Jonna); her daughter, Kimberly Brier; and grandchildren, Shanda Ackermann, Michelle Fox, Spencer Ellis, Kasey Ellis, and Paige Brier. Norma has 3 great-grandchildren, Ethan Fox, Trinity Fox, and Elijah Ellis. She is also survived by her brother, George Jabara. She is preceded in death by both her parents, John Jabara and Katherine Samarah; her husband, Jimmy Ellis; her siblings, Colonel James Jabara, John Jabara, Esther Shadid; and her son-in-law, Peter Brier. Norma was born on March 15, 1931 in Beggs, Oklahoma. She married Jimmy Ellis on April 6, 1952. Norma was an elegant, wise woman who nurtured not only her own children but also many others. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Downing and Lahey Mortuary, located at 6555 E Central, Wichita, KS 67206. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Norma's life.
