Vanden Heuvel, Noreen AnnNoreen A. Vanden Heuvel, age 89, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 14, 2017, at the St. Paul Villa. She was born on March 27, 1928, daughter of the late Lester and Margaret (Brill) Verstegen. On June 18, 1949, Noreen married Jerome Vanden Heuvel, and he preceded her in death in 1986. In her early years, Noreen enjoyed painting and playing sheepshead with her card club. More recently she enjoyed spending time at her children's cottage, following politics, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. Noreen had a beautiful singing voice and a deep faith. Most of all, Noreen was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Parish. Her love of Jesus, and commitment to the Catholic faith continued to be her source of strength.Noreen is survived by her six children: Judd (Donna) Vanden Heuvel, Sue (Gary) Hammen, Kay (Ben) Pennings, Bob (Reyne) Vanden Heuvel, Amy (Dan) Berg, Lynn (Dave) Vanden Heuvel; 21 grandchildren: Yates (Kat) Vanden Heuvel, Collin (Monique) Vanden Heuvel, Rachel (Mark) Vercauteren, Gretchen (David) Chiu, John (Hollie) Hammen, Katie Hammen, Abbey (Todd Uhlenbrauck) Hammen, Kristin (Pete) Van Zeeland, David (Jessica Thielke) Pennings, Laura (Eric) Blemberg, Allie (Drew) Jamison, Libby (Drew) Hietpas, Hilary (Tedd) Van Camp, Lucy (Jesse) Oudenhoven, Becky Hulett, Erin (Justin) Kahl, Peter (Kristen) Berg, Claire Vanden Heuvel, Mitchell Vanden Heuvel, Will Vanden Heuvel, Charlie Vanden Heuvel; 32 great grandchildren; sisters: Margy (Gordon) Hammen and Mary Kay Riley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jane Vanden Heuvel, Yvonne Rusk, Delores Machurick, Donna (Robert) Welch, Ken Vanden Heuvel, Barbara (Mike) Kons; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Noreen was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; her parents, Lester and Margaret; father and mother-in-law, Peter and Dora Vanden Heuvel; brothers and sisters-in-law: Eugene Riley, Lloyd Vanden Heuvel, Clarence (Ursula) Vanden Heuvel, Eugene Vanden Heuvel, Michael Machurick, Paul (Laverne) Vanden Heuvel and Anne Vanden Heuvel.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at St. Johns on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
