Nellie G. BoykinZANESVILLE: Nellie G. Boykin, 96, of Zanesville, died at 4:36 P.M. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1918 in Johnson County, N.C., a daughter of the late William Henry and Addie Langston Davis. Nellie was a member of the Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church and worked at Good Samaritan Medical Center for 23 years as a nurse's aide and ward secretary. One of Nellie's greatest passions was doing all kinds of needle work. She is survived by two sons, Keith Boykin of Zanesville and James Howard (Cathy) Boykin of Thornville; three daughters, Lois (Tom) Tucker of Frazeysburg, Marge MacLean of North Fort Myers, FL and Ann Boykin of Zanesville; 15 grandchildren, Linda(Mac) McDaniel, Brett and Craig Boykin, Bobby (Jennifer) Shepherd, Renee Untied, Boo (Devin) Reed, Jeff (Annette) Boykin, Joy (Dave) Howiler, Tawnya (Mike) Wilson, Carrie (Jarrod) Starr, Susie (Will) Miller, Staci (Glen) Hanson, Brent Boykin, Rhonda Reagan and Scott (Marcie) MacLean; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister Mary Lee of Kenly, N.C.; and a daughter-in-law, Libby Boykin of Zanesville.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie W. Boykin; three sons, Harold, Kenneth and Ralph Boykin; a brother, Carl Davis; four sisters, Zetta Kirby, Pearl Kirby, Bertha Kirby, Alma Godwin.
