TOPEKA — Nancy E. Sutton, age 93, of Topeka, Indiana, and formerly of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Northridge Village in Albion. She was born on June 15, 1922, the daughter of John and Freda (Nelson) Stoltz in Topeka, Indiana. On Oct. 13, 1946, she married Robert W. Sutton; he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her beloved children, Jane (Vern) Cookson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Julie (Doug) Feightner of Albion, Indiana; son-in-law, Byron Hooley of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, Jason Cookson of Chicago, Illinois, Ashley Cookson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Zachary (Teresa) Feightner of Garrett, Indiana, Haley and Tori Feightner of Louisville, Kentucky, Abby (Benji) Knox of Pinnacle, North Carolina, Cory (Sarah) Hooley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Derek (Angela) Hooley of Atlanta, Georgia; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rose Troyer of Ligonier, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Janet Hooley; and two brothers, Tom and Ross Stoltz. Nancy graduated from Ligonier High School in 1940. She then worked for the George Master Garment Corp., in Ligonier and went on to become a school secretary for the Westview School Corporation. Nancy enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. She was very talented at sewing and crocheting. Her positive attitude and one of a kind laugh will always be things greatly missed by the ones who loved her. A funeral service will be held in Nancy's honor on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Topeka United Methodist Church, 124 W Pine St., Topeka. Pastor Kevin DeKoninck will officiate. Burial will take place at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, Indiana. Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Topeka United Methodist Church. Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
