Nancy LaMoyne Box passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late John Donald Box. Loving mother of John Calvin Box, Jennifer LaMoyne Box and Matthew Lynn Box. Daughter of the late LaMoyne Everhart Howell and Elmer Howell. Sister of Lynn Howell. Mother-In-Law to Gloria (Sunshine) Box. Grandmother to Trevor, Garrett and Piper. And Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Nancy was born on August 22, 1935, in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Redford High School, and then on to the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), where she attained a degree in education and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. After college, she became an elementary school teacher and met the love of her life, John. The couple was soon wed and had three children, Calvin, Jennifer and Matthew, who loved them dearly. The Family moved to Louisiana in the early 1980's, and Nancy became involved in numerous social and charitable organizations. She met many friends, enjoying their company at social functions and activities. She was and will continue to be a bright star in the lives of many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Nancy's Life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM.
