Nadine GoodhueCarlisleNadine Marie Goodhue passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services for Nadine will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Middle River Friends Church with burial to follow in the Middle River Cemetery. A visitation will be held the night before from 4-7:00 pm also at her church. Nadine was born on June 7, 1936 in Sanborn, Iowa to Clarence and Ella Fowler. Nadine graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1953 and attended Comptometer School. Nadine married Jim Goodhue on April 3, 1955. Together they raised 3 boys, Mike, Mark and Steve. Nadine was active in her church, Middle River Friends Church, and many community clubs and organizations. Nadine cherished her family and loved picnics with the family. Nadine was a supportive and dedicated farm wife. Nadine is survived by her husband of 62 years Jim Goodhue of Carlisle; sons, Mike(Julyn)of Carlisle, Mark(Marilyn)of Carlisle and Steve(Tami)of Ames; sister, Pat Haddad of Breinigsville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, chad(Yetska)Goodhue, Dan(Rochelle)Goodhue, Kia & Samantha Goodhue, Summer(Doug Muetzel, Matt(Deb)Goodhue and Megan Goodhue; great grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, Caleb, Scott, Mason, Mya, Brice and John. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and sister Norma Zarkos. Memorials for Nadine may be directed to the Middle River Friends Church.
