Mrs. Mildred Davis Harris-Hunt, born in Gary, IN, on March 25, 1946 to the proud parents of Eugene and Gladys Davis. She was blessed with a sibling group of 8 (Ethel, Shirley, Mary Lee, Josephine, Gladys, Eugene Jr, Charles and Anthony), being born next to the youngest. Her family were members of Greater Harvest Baptist, in Chicago, IL at which place she gave her life to Christ as a child. In 1962, Mildred Davis joined William Albert Harris in matrimony, resulting in the birth of two children, William Albert Harris Jr (57) and Johanna Elizabeth Harris (56). She was also the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren (Mashaun, Candice, Maria, Mildred (Curtis Coleman), Marquita (Tony Butler), Martrina (Adam Schaeffer), William, Rashad, and Ameerah) and 6 great grand children (Jaydah, Janiyah, Isaiah, Taharqa, Mahari and Daniel). In 1989 she married Joseph Hunt. Her intellect and work ethic resulted in her working for the government and The Hartford Insurance Company. Within the last 20 years of her life, she diligently did so, prior to succumbing to her physical illness in 1995.

She was a believer in God and a pioneer to her family. She had high expectations of all those she loved and trailblazer of the latest trends. Some of her greatest attributes, was that of modeling self love and being transparent for the world to see. As a mother, grandmother, aunt, etc.. she was very nurturing contrary to speaking her truth with no filter.

It gives the family peace to know, that she\'s been welcomed by Heavens Gates, by first her grandson (Mashaun Asikari), her parents and a host of family.≥
